Unlock the Secrets to EASI26: Only 100 Spots Available for Aspiring Entrepreneurs—Will You Miss Out?

Early-stage entrepreneurs in the UK with a passion for social and environmental innovation have an exciting opportunity: the EASI26 program, an initiative of the Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs, is now accepting applications until March 31, 2026. This program, which is entering its fifth year, aims to empower purpose-driven innovators who are tackling critical societal issues ranging from climate change to equality and healthcare.
The Entrepreneurs’ Award in Social Innovation (EASI) provides both direct financial support and a comprehensive business support package over a 12-month period. The EASI26 winner will be awarded a £10,000 grant from the Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs Trust, along with access to invaluable resources aimed at strengthening their business foundations.
Among the benefits included in the 12-month business support package are:
- Constructive feedback from seasoned judges
- A dedicated mentor
- Networking opportunities with experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders
- Expert-led masterclasses and tailored guidance
- Introductions to potential partners, funders, and collaborators
- Participation in the EASI26 Showcase
Even those who don’t win will benefit, as all finalists will join the EASI26 cohort and receive the same 12-month support package designed to accelerate their journey toward impactful solutions.
Judy Hadden, Past Master Entrepreneur and founder of the EASI program, emphasized the initiative's mission: “EASI backs early-stage founders who are building solutions the world genuinely needs. The combination of funding and business support, mentorship, and access to our network is designed to enable early-stage entrepreneurs to accelerate their impact and strengthen the foundations of their business. If you believe you fit this description, we really want to hear from you; please apply for EASI26.”
One notable success story from the previous year is Carbon Cell, the EASI25 winner, which is addressing the global issue of expanded polystyrene—a material commonly criticized for its environmental impact. Their innovative biochar-based foam is carbon negative, structurally strong, and moldable, providing alternatives for insulation, acoustic panels, and fabrication foams. Co-Founder Eden Harrison reflected on the impact of the program, stating, “The EASI £10K grant significantly widened our manufacturing scope, from ‘microwave’ experiments to industrially relevant heat press tooling – unlocking trials with European manufacturing partners. Mentoring with Paul Eveleigh has been the single most valuable part of the program, along with introductions to potential funders through the program’s networking events.”
Who Should Apply?
The EASI26 program is particularly well-suited for early-stage, purpose-driven entrepreneurs based in the UK who are developing innovative and scalable solutions to social or environmental challenges. Applicants need to demonstrate a clear mission, market research, and a credible pathway to sustainable impact.
As part of the selection process, shortlisted applicants will pitch their ideas at the EASI26 Final, scheduled for May 18, 2026, at The Skyline London. The winner will be announced that night, with the award being officially presented at the Award Presentation and Dinner at Tallow Chandlers’ Hall on July 1, 2026.
For those interested in applying, the deadline is March 31, 2026. More information and the application can be found on the EASI website.
The EASI26 program not only highlights a growing trend of social entrepreneurship but also underscores the critical role that innovation plays in addressing global challenges. As the climate crisis intensifies and social inequalities persist, initiatives like EASI provide a vital platform for entrepreneurs ready to make a difference.
