Is Dulce Maria Alavez Really Missing? Shocking New Claims and a Major Prosecutor's Warning!

A recent social media post claiming that Dulce Maria Alavez was found dead in a wooded area has been debunked by authorities. On Wednesday, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae confirmed that the information circulating online was false.

The misleading post claimed that Dulce's body was discovered by hunters early Wednesday morning and that authorities were examining her remains. Notably, the post misspelled Dulce's last name, raising further doubts about its credibility.

“Please be advised that these reports are not confirmed and are untrue,” McRae stated. “No one has reported finding remains at this time.”

Dulce, who disappeared on September 16, 2019, was just 5 years old at the time. She went missing during a family outing at Bridgeton City Park, which prompted extensive search efforts and garnered international media attention.

Investigators believe that an abduction occurred, as Dulce's whereabouts remain unknown. If she were alive today, Dulce would have turned 11 years old. Her family had taken her to the park that day to enjoy the playground shortly after she had started kindergarten.

According to her mother, Noema Alavez Perez, she parked the car and allowed Dulce and her 3-year-old brother, Manuel, to run to the playground while she remained in the vehicle with her younger sister. When she later walked over to the playground, she discovered that Dulce was missing. After conducting a search of the area, Alavez Perez contacted law enforcement to report her daughter missing.

As the years have passed, Dulce’s family and supporters have not forgotten about her. They gathered at the park earlier this fall to mark the sixth anniversary of her disappearance and to pray for her safe return. The case still resonates strongly within the community, and investigators continue to seek any leads or information that might help solve the mystery.

To aid in the search, authorities have released age progression photos of Dulce and are now utilizing artificial intelligence to explore new avenues in the investigation. A reward of $75,000 is currently being offered for information that leads to her return.

Prosecutor McRae is urging anyone who may have information about the false social media post or any details regarding Dulce’s disappearance to contact the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office. An anonymous tip line is available on the county's website, and the community is encouraged to remain vigilant.

The spread of misinformation can complicate ongoing investigations and distress families and communities. As this case continues to unfold, the hope remains that Dulce Maria Alavez will be found, bringing closure to her family and friends who have been searching for answers for years.
