ECOFEST: Discover the Shocking Truth Behind This 1-Day Environmental Revolution! Don't Miss Out!

WESTON — This weekend, Weston will host ECOFEST, a vibrant event designed to blend family-friendly entertainment with essential environmental awareness. Set to take place on Sunday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lachat Town Farm, this celebration has been dubbed Weston’s “biggest green celebration of the year.”

ECOFEST is a platform for local vendors and community partners to exhibit sustainable products and initiatives, including participation from notable organizations such as Energize CT, Christine’s Critters, the Wolf Conservation Center, and the Housatonic Recovery Authority. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore how these organizations contribute to environmental sustainability and community wellness.

In an innovative effort to encourage recycling, visitors are invited to bring redeemable bottles and cans. For every 25 containers donated, participants will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a $250 prize, making eco-conscious choices even more rewarding.

The event promises a diverse range of activities to engage families and educate attendees on sustainability. Highlights include live performances by local student musicians, a book drive, and interactive talks and demonstrations on various sustainability topics. Children can also look forward to games, crafts, and other family-oriented activities designed to make learning about the environment fun and engaging.

This initiative reflects a growing trend of communities coming together to address environmental issues through education and active participation. As the interest in sustainability continues to rise, events like ECOFEST not only promote awareness but also empower individuals to make meaningful changes in their daily lives.

For those looking to get involved or simply enjoy a day filled with fun and learning, ECOFEST offers an exciting opportunity to engage with local sustainability efforts and connect with community members. Mark your calendars for May 3 and head over to Lachat Town Farm at 106 Godfrey Road West in Weston for a day dedicated to the planet.
