PHILADELPHIA – In a noteworthy achievement for the Temple University women's basketball program, standout players Kaylah Turner and Saniyah Craig have both been selected for the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. This recognition not only highlights their academic excellence but also underscores their significant contributions on the court during the recent season.

Kaylah Turner had a remarkable season, establishing herself as one of the top players in college basketball. She ranked 71st nationally and second in the conference with a total of 430 field goal attempts. Turner showcased her scoring ability by shooting 40.5% from the field, placing fourth in the conference. She led the league with 174 total field goals made and topped the scoring charts with 484 points, averaging 16.1 points per game.

Her prowess from beyond the arc was equally impressive. Turner ranked 39th nationally and second in the conference for her three-point shooting percentage, hitting 40.3% of her attempts. She made 73 three-pointers, which not only ranks fourth in the conference but also stands as one of the top five single-season marks in Temple's program history. Among her highlights were eight games where she scored over 20 points, including a career-high 36 points in a standout performance against Princeton.

Saniyah Craig also made a significant impact for the team. She ranked 100th nationally and fourth in the conference with 135 free throw attempts. Craig displayed her tenacity on the boards, finishing sixth in the conference with 234 total rebounds, which comprised 99 offensive and 135 defensive boards. She averaged 7.9 rebounds per game, landing her in eighth place in the conference standings.
