Life Fitness and Les Mills have announced a strategic partnership that will see Life Fitness / Hammer Strength bikes integrated into Les Mills’ online cycling classes. This collaboration, unveiled during the HFA Show in San Diego, positions Les Mills as the official cycle content partner of Life Fitness while Life Fitness becomes the official bike partner for Les Mills' cycle programs. As a result, participants in Les Mills' online classes will now be able to engage with Life Fitness’ equipment directly on their screens.
According to Phillip Mills, managing director of Les Mills, this partnership embodies a mutual commitment to innovation and a shared vision of enhancing fitness experiences. “Together, we’re building a foundation for the future, rooted in shared values, proven expertise, and a long-term vision to elevate the role fitness plays in people’s lives,” he stated.
This partnership not only enhances the training experience for clubs and partners but also promises the rollout of new products and connected fitness opportunities. Jim Pisani, CEO of Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, emphasized the alignment of values between the two brands, stating, “Our alignment with Les Mills is rooted in shared values and a deep belief in performance, science, and quality.”
Yet, Les Mills is not the only brand that Life Fitness is aligning with in 2023. The equipment supplier has also announced a partnership with global health technology company Evolt Health. This collaboration will incorporate Evolt’s AI-powered body composition scans into the Life Fitness Connect app. Users will benefit from personalized guidance that adapts to their goals and fitness levels, which evolves over time.
The Evolt 360 Body Composition Analyzer, featured in the Life Fitness app, offers a quick 60-second scan that provides more than 40 health metrics. These metrics include skeletal muscle mass, body fat percentage, visceral fat, metabolic rate, total body water, and segmental muscle and fat analysis. Insights gathered from these scans can inform tailored training recommendations within the Life Fitness / Hammer Strength platform.
