You Won't Believe What Lantana's New Lifestyle Director, Gillian Brown, Has Planned!

Lantana residents may already know Gillian Brown as a familiar face behind the desk at the Lantana Community Association (LCA) office. However, they will soon see much more of her in the community following her promotion to Community Lifestyle Director in January, a role that amplifies her engagement with local events and programs. Previously working as an administrative assistant, Gillian has now stepped into a position that places her at the heart of neighborhood activities aimed at fostering community spirit.
With a diverse professional background, Gillian is well-equipped for her new responsibilities. She spent three years at a construction company, moving up from administrative assistant to office manager, and also has experience in bookkeeping for small businesses. Her creative interests extend beyond her professional life; she owns a small business selling handmade items at craft fairs. “It’s very fun seeing people get excited about what I have created,” she shared, indicating her passion for both crafting and community engagement.
Gillian’s personal life is just as vibrant. Hailing from a large family with eight siblings, she often finds inspiration in her familial ties. “I have a BIG family,” she stated, “and I’m the third oldest. We range from 31 to 12 years old.” Her love for travel also adds to her diverse experiences. One of her favorite trips was a weeklong adventure in Arizona for her 21st birthday, where she explored iconic locations such as the Grand Canyon and the Lowell Observatory.
In her role as Lifestyle Director, Gillian is tasked with overseeing all aspects of Lantana’s events, including vendor communication, registration tracking, menu planning, sponsorships, and budget management. “My goal is to make sure all events are fun, exciting and within the set budget,” she noted. To this end, she has a vision for the coming years, with plans for initiatives like a summer STEM camp for middle and high school students and expanded evening programming to better accommodate working families. “Really, the goal for 2026 is to make the Lifestyle Program more engaging, inclusive, and impactful for all residents,” Gillian explained.
Gillian actively invites community members to participate in shaping the events and programs. "I am excited to hear any and all ideas and want to work with residents as much as possible to ensure our programs reflect the different demographics of Lantana,” she said. She encourages residents to volunteer, even for smaller events, fostering a sense of ownership and collaboration within the community.
In addition to her community initiatives, the Lantana Ladies League is also organizing a Spring Fashion Show on Wednesday, March 4, at the Lantana Golf Club starting at 7 p.m. This event will not only showcase the latest spring trends but also features a happy hour and shopping with local vendors beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are available in two tiers: general admission for $25, which includes access to the fashion show, and VIP tickets for $50, which offer additional perks such as premium seating and a swag bag. Proceeds from the event will benefit Giving Grace, a North Texas nonprofit that provides housing solutions and support services for families experiencing homelessness.
With Gillian Brown at the helm as Community Lifestyle Director, and events like the Spring Fashion Show on the horizon, the Lantana community is poised for a season of vibrant engagement.
