As Mother's Day approaches, the community of Summerlin in Las Vegas is gearing up for its 13th annual Fit4Mom Celebration of Moms event on May 9. This lively occasion, designed to promote fitness, fun, and socialization among mothers, underscores the importance of community engagement and wellness.

The event, hosted by Fit4Mom Las Vegas, will kick off with check-in at 8:30 a.m. before a Stroller Strides workout at 9 a.m., set against the picturesque backdrop of The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin. Participants can expect to be among the first 80 moms to receive complimentary swag bags, while all attendees will be treated to free professional Mommy and Me photos. Following the workout, from 10 a.m. to noon, there will be an interactive Mother’s Day fair featuring giveaways, children’s activities, and enjoyable craft areas.

This year’s event is free and open to the public, making it an accessible way for families to celebrate the occasion together. More detailed information can be found at lasvegas.fit4mom.com.

In addition to the Mother's Day festivities, Downtown Summerlin is also reintroducing Fitness on The Lawn, a popular outdoor fitness program sponsored by Ghost and running every Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. through September 29. This series features a variety of exercise classes from local gyms and brands, including Trufusion Summerlin, Pure Barre, lululemon, and Nike. The weekly rotation includes yoga, fitness classes, and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), ensuring there is something for everyone, regardless of fitness level. Participants are encouraged to bring their mats, towels, and water to enjoy the sessions while soaking in the breathtaking Summerlin sunsets.

“There is no better place to end your day than outside with a group fitness class on The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin,” said Halee Harczynski, senior director of marketing for Downtown Summerlin. “Fitness on The Lawn offers a variety of different exercise options weekly so there is something for everyone. It’s one of our most popular events and comes with the bonus of taking in a spectacular Summerlin sunset.”
