Men’s Tennis Update

In tennis, Lewis-Clark State faced a tough opponent in Stanton (California) during the Greater Southwest Athletic Conference semifinals in Glendale, Arizona. Despite claiming the doubles point with wins from their No. 2 and No. 3 pairings, the Warriors fell short, losing four singles matches to conclude the dual with a 4-2 score. Bonnet de Larbogne secured the only singles victory for LC State with a decisive 6-2, 6-0 win in the No. 2 slot. Coach Kai Fong remarked on the challenge the team faced throughout the season, noting, “We just came up a little short. Stanton has a solid team and held up under pressure just enough to beat us. I have asked a lot of the group all season by putting them through a challenging travel schedule. The group responded well each time.”

The performances from these athletes not only highlight individual achievements but also reflect the growing competitive spirit within college sports in the Pacific Northwest. As the season progresses, fans will undoubtedly be eager to see how these athletes continue to develop and compete on higher levels.
