You Won't Believe the Shocking Acts in Cirque Musica's Holiday Wonderland—Last Chance to Experience the Magic!

SPRINGFIELD — It’s a circus unlike any other, set to dazzle audiences this holiday season. The Cirque Musica Holiday Wonderland will return to Springfield Symphony Hall on Thursday, December 4, beginning at 7 p.m., promising an enchanting evening filled with breathtaking performances.

Unlike traditional circuses that feature big tops and animals, Cirque Musica offers a unique blend of extraordinary circus acts against a picturesque winter wonderland backdrop. “We love Springfield,” said Stephen Cook, the president of TCG Entertainment, the production company behind Cirque Musica.

This year’s performance promises to be even more captivating, showcasing “even more cirque acts to captivate and inspire awe in our audiences,” Cook shared in a recent press release. The production boasts “all-new costumes, new music, and even more spectacular cirque acts,” making it one of the most visually stunning shows in its history.

Cirque Musica’s performances are unique in that they combine elements of traditional circus arts with a theatrical twist, featuring a mix of singers, dancers, and actors. This year’s storyline is described as more abstract, focusing on characters “losing their holiday spirit and trying to gain it back.” Cook emphasized the core mission of the production: creating memorable connections with audiences.

Cook addressed potential confusion regarding the use of “cirque” in the title, noting that while it shares roots with the word “circus,” the show distinctly differentiates itself with original music and captivating storylines. The performances also feature a diverse cast and crew of around 230 people, including top-tier performers from across the globe—countries like the United States, Hungary, Ukraine, Canada, Mexico, and Ecuador are represented.

Audiences can expect thrilling spectacles, including the wheel of death, Rolla Bolla, and various aerial acts that are sure to leave spectators in awe. Although the production no longer travels with a full live band due to expenses, a live guitarist and aerial violinist will accompany the performance, enhancing the show's atmosphere with music created by James Olmstead, a well-regarded music director and composer.

Since its inception in 2010, Cirque Musica has become one of the largest cirque companies globally, showcasing its productions in multiple countries and captivating millions with its blend of grace, skill, and strength. Tickets for the Springfield show range from $39 to $130 and are available at mgmspringfield.com.

For those looking to celebrate the spirit of the season with a spectacular production, Cirque Musica Holiday Wonderland promises an experience unlike any other, blending the magic of the holidays with the excitement of world-class circus performance.
