DALLAS – As Americans set their sights on New Year’s resolutions centered around wellness, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) is doubling down on its commitment to providing better-for-you meals and snacks for the military community. This initiative is part of the Exchange's BE FIT 360 program, which focuses on holistic wellness by ensuring healthier food options are available at all restaurants, Express locations, and self-service markets.
Air Force Chief Master Sgt. We are dedicated to ensuring Warfighters and military families have access to better-for-you meals and snacks to fuel them throughout the day.”
Among the healthier options now offered at Exchange restaurants are:
- The Impossible Whopper, a plant-based patty available at Exchange Burger King locations worldwide, along with a variety of salads.
- Qdoba Mexican Eats, which features hand-crafted entrees with fresh vegetables and grilled chicken, allowing diners to customize meals for low-carb, vegan, vegetarian, gluten-friendly, high-protein, and low-calorie diets.
- Charleys menu items with 300 calories or fewer, including grilled chicken, steak, garden salads, and small cheesesteaks under 500 calories.

In addition, a growing number of 24/7 self-service stores now offer fresh options, including salads, fruits, and sandwiches, for service members who are unable to access an Exchange restaurant or Express while on duty.
“From grab-and-go snacks to meals for the family, the Exchange is all in to support nutrition and wellness goals,” Martinez stated. “The Exchange is honored to make healthy eating a part of everyday life on and off duty.”
