Yongsoo Kim, who has been with Webtoon Entertainment since 2022, previously held the roles of chief strategy officer and head of global. In his new capacity as president, Kim will report directly to Junkoo Kim, founder and CEO of Webtoon Entertainment, and will join the company's board of directors. During his tenure as chief strategy officer, Kim spearheaded several initiatives, including the launch of short-form videos on the Webtoon platform and securing a recent deal with Disney to create a new digital comics platform.
