The Matadors wasted no time asserting their dominance, scoring an impressive 58 points in the first half and building a substantial 31-point lead. The team also excelled on the boards, out-rebounding the Saints 63–35 and shooting 44.6 percent from the field compared to Community Christian's 35.2 percent.
