Internship Details

This full-time internship spans a duration of 24 weeks, with two options available for start dates: either March 1, 2026, to August 16, 2026, or September 1, 2026, to February 14, 2027. The selected intern will work closely with the UNFPA Headquarters’ Digital Communications Team to produce engaging and high-quality TikTok content. Their role will encompass the entire content cycle—from brainstorming and scripting to filming and publishing. This position is particularly suited for individuals comfortable on camera, who understand TikTok culture, and enjoy translating serious topics into relatable, engaging content for a younger audience.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the internship, the intern will:

  • Produce and feature in on-camera TikTok videos, utilizing mobile devices for filming.
  • Contribute to content ideation, scriptwriting, and storyboarding in line with UNFPA's campaigns.
  • Track trends, challenges, formats, and audio on TikTok to identify timely opportunities for engagement.
  • Edit short-form videos using both mobile and desktop tools.
  • Write captions, overlays, and on-screen text, adhering to accessibility and brand guidelines.
  • Assist in developing a TikTok content calendar and coordinate with program and communications teams to source stories and insights.
  • Help manage UNFPA’s global social media accounts, including publishing and optimizing content.

Eligibility and Profile

Applicants must be currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate program within the past year. Ideal candidates will possess:
