In the afternoon, the White River girls' fastpitch team triumphed over Enumclaw with a final score of 9-7, in a thrilling matchup that kept fans on the edge of their seats. The game began with Enumclaw scoring first, but White River quickly responded by pushing two runs across the plate in the bottom of the first inning. The back-and-forth nature of the game continued as Enumclaw took a 4-2 lead in the top of the third inning. However, White River made a powerful comeback in the fourth inning, scoring four times to regain control.
The decisive moment came in the sixth inning when White River scored three additional runs, securing their victory. A standout performance came from McKenna Charlton, who delivered an impressive four hits, including two doubles, while driving in five runs. The pitching duties fell to Laken Elvig, who went the distance on the mound, striking out 11 Enumclaw batters. On the opposing team, Lila Schmidt and Braelynn Schliep each contributed significantly with three hits, scoring twice, and Schmidt driving in three runs.
