Pete Davidson's $2.27M Home is Hiding a SHOCKING Secret—Will You Miss Out?

Often dubbed the "Forgotten Borough," Staten Island holds a special place in comedian Pete Davidson's heart, especially now that he is transitioning from a luxurious getaway in Westchester County to a more family-oriented life. The former “Saturday Night Live” star has decided to list his North Salem property for $2.27 million, just three years after purchasing it for $1.95 million in 2023.
The sprawling estate, which spans over 6 acres, features a transformed 1930s-era home complete with a guesthouse, a pool, a sauna, and even a hidden speakeasy behind a sliding wall. Davidson has referred to this retreat as “paradise,” a private sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of city life. In an interview with Mansion Global, he noted the stark contrast between the constant noise of urban living and the serene quiet he experienced in North Salem: “In North Salem, I would wake up naturally, and I wouldn’t feel a thing; it was the most special feeling.”
Davidson's decision to sell, however, is primarily about logistics. Following the birth of his daughter, Scottie Rose, maintaining a long commute from North Salem to family in Staten Island and New Jersey proved to be increasingly impractical. “The thing I hated about living in the city all the time was... garbage being picked up or people fighting or your neighbors or whatever’s going on on the street,” he explained. “It’s literally like living in paradise,” emphasizing the emotional weight that comes with leaving a home that has also served as a creative base for his projects, including commercial shoots and his Netflix podcast.
The property boasts 2,300 square feet of living space, housing four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Davidson's renovations focused on enhancing its character and charm rather than opting for a modern design, which he finds “soulless and white.” He explained, “I added little things to it while still keeping its integrity and charm.” The seclusion of the home, far from the road with neighbors barely in sight, was a significant draw for him. He enjoyed blending in with the local community, participating in recreational activities such as basketball leagues, stating, “What’s cool about North Salem and the whole Westchester area is everyone pretty much keeps to themselves.”
As he prepares to say goodbye to the property, Davidson reflects on the personal significance it holds. It was in this home that he and his partner first learned they were expecting their daughter, a memory that now anchors his decision to move back closer to family. Even while joking about the emotional toll of the sale, referencing his beloved “SNL” character Chad, he acknowledges that leaving this idyllic setting is bittersweet: “I told Chad we were going to sell it. He’s very upset. You could see it in his eyes.”
While Davidson's North Salem home is on the market, he is also dealing with another real estate challenge closer to home. His Staten Island condo, located at 90 Bay Street Landing, has been lingering on the market for roughly four years after its initial listing in 2022. Originally purchased for $1.2 million and fully renovated, the unit has been relisted at a significantly reduced price of $850,000 earlier this year. Although a buyer has emerged, the final sale price remains undisclosed, and Davidson is poised to experience a notable financial loss even before factoring in renovation costs.
As Davidson navigates these transitions in his life and real estate endeavors, it serves as a reminder of how personal milestones, such as parenthood, can reshape priorities even for those in the public eye. With his focus shifting back to Staten Island, Davidson is not just selling a house; he's making room for a new chapter of family life.
