The weather took a toll on the tournament schedule, resulting in the cancellation of the Friday match against Nacogdoches due to inclement weather conditions. However, the Lady Panthers bounced back in the championship match against Vidor, where they clinched the title with a lone goal from Charley Whitehead, winning 1-0.

In recognition of their outstanding performances, Barrett earned the Offensive All-Tournament Award, while senior Niyah Gee was honored with the Defensive All-Tournament Award. The Lady Panthers are gearing up to host Mineola in their district opener on Tuesday, continuing their momentum from the classic.

Meanwhile, the Longview Lady Lobos also made headlines by finishing the Mesquite Tournament with a flawless record of 3-0, ending their tournament run with a dominating 4-0 victory over Mesquite. Throughout the tournament, the Lady Lobos scored a staggering total of 18 goals while conceding only 1. This remarkable goal differential underscores their offensive strength and defensive resilience.

The match against Mesquite saw the Lobos break the deadlock in the 18th minute, thanks to a perfectly timed through ball by Abby Alba to Mary Blake Scott.
