FBI Uncovers Shocking Threats Against April Becker: What She Found Will Leave You Speechless!

An Oregon man, Travis William Juhr, 41, has been arrested on federal charges for allegedly threatening Clark County Commissioner April Becker, a pro-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) protester, and her two children. The arrest occurred following alarming incidents of harassment aimed at public officials, a trend that has prompted legislative action in several states, including Nevada.
Juhr's arrest was made public this week, with his charges filed in Oregon. The FBI complaint details that Becker received a threatening message on December 7, 2023, from an X account believed to be owned by Juhr, which included a photo of her. A day later, Las Vegas FBI agents were made aware of this posting. Becker also reportedly received a threatening voicemail from a number linked to Juhr.
“I want to express my thanks to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Clark County Office of Public Safety, the FBI, and the local Oregon officials for their dedicated work and collaboration in this case,” Becker stated, expressing relief at Juhr's arrest. She hopes the court will hold him accountable for his actions.
Concerns about threats against public officials have led to legislative measures like Assembly Bill 3, passed in Nevada's 2025 special session. This bill allows public officials to keep certain personal information confidential in government records, aiming to enhance their safety amid rising threats.
In addition to threatening Becker, Juhr allegedly used two other X accounts to harass a woman who attended a "Patriot’s Night" counterdemonstration outside an ICE facility in Portland, Oregon, accompanied by one of her children. The FBI complaint notes that the minor was identified and publicized on ICE, leading to further threats against them. The woman reported that her children received additional threatening messages this month, including a photo of a gun; however, it remains unclear if these messages are directly linked to Juhr.
In January, the U.S. Secret Service alerted the FBI to concerning posts made by Juhr on Facebook. A tipster shared screen captures of one post in which Juhr stated, “I can’t wait till Trump is dead, I might even participate!” This raised further alarms about his intentions and mental health.
As part of the legal proceedings, a federal magistrate has requested that Juhr undergo a mental health evaluation. A detention hearing is scheduled for next Tuesday. Public defenders representing him did not respond to requests for comment regarding the case.
The incidents surrounding Juhr's actions highlight a growing concern over the safety of public officials in the U.S., especially as political tensions continue to rise. As states respond with legislative measures to protect those in public service, the broader implications of these threats remain a pressing issue.
