**Berkshire Residential Investments** is not new to the Massachusetts market; the company operates **seven other apartment communities** in the state. Among these are **VIA Seaport Residences**, **The Benjamin Seaport Residences**, and **Gatehouse 75** in Boston, as well as properties in Quincy, Hingham, Westborough, and Bedford. In total, the firm manages properties across **14 other states**, highlighting its expansive reach in the multifamily housing sector.

To date, nearly **2,900 homes** have been constructed within Pinehills, with plans to build **3,065 homes** overall. While the majority of these residences are owner-occupied, the area has also seen the development of various apartment communities, including **Avalon at the Pinehills**, **Marq at the Pinehills**, and **Rowan at the Pinehills**.
Last year, the **220-unit Marq complex** was sold for **$86.5 million** to **Alliance Residential Co.** from Arizona, further illustrating the ongoing interest in this burgeoning market. **Hanover Co.**, despite this sale, continues to maintain a robust presence in Massachusetts, managing **28 properties** statewide, which includes locations in Cambridge, Everett, Stoneham, Westwood, and Weymouth.

The Pinehills has emerged as a premier residential destination on the **South Shore**, appealing to a demographic seeking a blend of luxury living and community-oriented amenities.
As the demand for housing in the Boston suburbs continues to rise, developments like the **Hanover at the Pinehills** acquisition reflect broader market dynamics influencing real estate investment strategies. The emphasis on amenity-rich living spaces, combined with an increasing population in suburban areas, signals a notable shift in where people are choosing to reside.
