Before her tenure at Penn State Health, Darbar served as the vice dean and vice president of finance and administration for the University of Chicago Biological Sciences. Her extensive experience includes leadership positions at notable institutions such as The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
