The Atlantic, a renowned publication in American journalism, has entered into an exclusive first-look agreement with Prologue Entertainment, an independent production studio co-founded by Lloyd Braun, Sarah Bremner, and Noah Oppenheim, and backed by RedBird Capital Partners. This collaboration will focus on developing films and series inspired by The Atlantic's extensive archive and acclaimed reporting, which spans 168 years.

Prologue Entertainment has quickly made a name for itself within its first year, gaining attention for its commitment to producing premium dramas based on real-life characters and events. Notable projects include the Netflix series Zero Day, starring Robert De Niro, and the forthcoming film A House of Dynamite, directed by Kathryn Bigelow. Oppenheim, one of Prologue's co-founders, emphasized the synergy between the two entities: “The Atlantic uncovers the kinds of stories Prologue was created to tell. Both of our teams are fascinated not only with what's happening in the world but also what could come next. We look forward to working with their journalists to develop more timely and relevant entertainment.”

With its reputation for compelling storytelling and deep reporting, The Atlantic has expanded into film and television, adapting its articles and narratives for the screen. Recent adaptations include the series Shadowland and the Emmy-winning documentary Lowndes County and the Road to Black Power. The publication is currently developing over a dozen scripted and unscripted projects in collaboration with major studios.

Founded in 2024, the studio is funded by RedBird Capital Partners, a private-equity firm, and is supported by Jeff Zucker's RedBird IMI, a joint venture focusing on investments across various media sectors.
