Miley Cyrus Drops Shocking News About Dolly Parton's Health—You Won't Believe What’s Happening!

Miley Cyrus recently shared an uplifting update regarding her godmother, the legendary country music icon Dolly Parton, who has faced health challenges this year. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Monday, Cyrus reassured fans that Parton remains undeterred and is eager to return to her work.

“She’s always gonna keep the show going,” Cyrus said. “The show must go on. She’s just excited to get back to work.”

At 79, Parton appeared vibrant and lively in a recent Instagram video where she wished her followers a happy Thanksgiving. This cheerful message arrived just a month after she had to postpone her Las Vegas residency due to health issues. In September, Parton communicated to her fans that her doctors recommended she undergo several medical procedures. She humorously referred to it as her “100,000-mile check-up,” specifying that it wasn't the usual visit to her plastic surgeon. Despite her light-hearted approach, she acknowledged the seriousness of the matter:

“In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see.”

Fans expressed significant concern for Parton’s well-being when her sister, Freida Parton, posted on Facebook that she was “up all night praying” for her sister. After receiving numerous messages of worry from fans, Freida clarified her comments, assuring everyone that Dolly was merely “a little under the weather.”

In a bid to ease the minds of her fans, Parton took to X (formerly Twitter) to assert, “I ain’t dead yet!” In a video clip response, she questioned her appearance, saying:

“Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here. I wanted to put everybody’s mind at ease. Those that seemed to be real concerned, which I appreciate, and I appreciate your prayers.”

This year has been particularly difficult for Parton, as she also grappled with the loss of her husband, Carl Dean, who passed away at age 82 after nearly 60 years of marriage. Earlier in July, she indicated that she would be putting her music career on pause due to her emotional state following his death. She remarked:

“I can’t do it right now ‘cause I got so many other things that I can’t afford the luxury of, you know, of getting emotional right now.”

While she may be taking a break, Parton reassured her supporters that her music career is far from over. “I’ll write something else, though, if it comes. I’m just putting that all on hold,” she stated.

As the holiday season approaches, fans remain hopeful for Parton’s swift recovery and eagerly await her return to the stage. Her resilience and dedication to her craft continue to inspire many, and with Cyrus advocating for her return, it’s clear the world has not yet seen the last of this country music icon.
