You Won't Believe What Ben Johnson Said in His Shirtless Postgame Speech to the Bears! Fans Are Shocked!
As we head into Week 14 of the NFL season, the Chicago Bears, under first-year head coach Ben Johnson, are making headlines as the current No. 1 seed in the NFC with a record of 9–3. This is a remarkable achievement for Johnson, especially considering that expectations for the Bears were not this high at the start of the season.
The Bears' latest victory came in a thrilling 24–15 win against the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field on Black Friday. Following the game, Johnson celebrated in a memorable way: he famously ripped his shirt off during a locker room speech, an act that has since gone viral.

In a press conference on Monday, Johnson recounted his family's reaction to the clip. “My wife was just laughing, that’s about it,” he shared. “My 2-year-old was watching the TV screen back at home and she’s like, ‘No shirt, no shirt!’ pointing to the screen. My wife had no idea what was going on.”
Interestingly, the buzz around Johnson’s bare-chested celebration started before the game. In late October, a well-known hot dog vendor in Chicago, The Wieners Circle, teased on social media that they would give away free hot dogs if Johnson went “topless” during a postgame speech. This playful challenge seemed to resonate, and it’s evident that Johnson was aware of the hype; he confirmed this during a press conference on October 24.
Is Ben Johnson gonna give us the right type of trick plays? Because if not he’s gonna have to go topless in his locker room speech, if he wants to feed an entire city

Johnson explained that his shirtless moment was spontaneous, saying, “That was a spur-of-the-moment deal. I figured the sooner, the better because I’m not in the weight room very much anymore. I hate to draw attention from our players, but the intent was to bring up the city of Chicago. Hopefully, it gave them a little excitement. They’re a big part of this journey.”
In a spirit of community engagement, Johnson emphasized, “Any time you get to feed a city, you want to do it. A man of the people.” This statement aligns with the promotional event that followed his locker room antics: free hot dogs for the city of Chicago, courtesy of The Wieners Circle, on the following Tuesday.

As the Bears continue to assert their presence in the league, Johnson's exuberance and connection with fans and players alike are proving to be vital assets. The team's success this season, particularly with wins against formidable opponents, is beginning to shift perceptions about the Bears' potential. With the playoffs approaching, all eyes will be on how Johnson leads this team further into the season and whether they can maintain their status as a top contender in the NFC.
