Lea Salonga's Shocking Return to Les Misérables: What You MUST Know Before Tickets Sell Out!

Renowned musical theater star Lea Salonga is returning to the iconic role of Fantine in the latest rendition of Les Misérables, joining an international cast that boasts talent from around the globe. Leading the production are Geronimo Rauch as Jean Valjean and Jeremy Secomb as Javert. The cast also features Nathania Ong as Eponine, Red Concepcion as Thenardier, and Na-Young Jeon as Fantine. Additional notable cast members include Will Callan as Marius, Lulu-Mae Pears as Cosette, and Harry Chandler as Enjolras.

This new production, dubbed the Arena Spectacular, was conceived by celebrated producer Cameron Mackintosh to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the beloved musical, which is based on the timeless novel by Victor Hugo. The music is composed by Claude-Michel Schönberg, with lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer. In an innovative shift from traditional stagings, this version is reimagined for larger venues, featuring expanded staging, enhanced lighting, and dynamic projections, resulting in a more cinematic, concert-like experience for audiences.

Since its premiere in the UK and Europe in 2024, the Arena Spectacular has captivated audiences worldwide, selling more than one million tickets and performing to full houses in major cities including Manila, Shanghai, Sydney, and Tokyo. Following its run in Singapore, the show is set to return to Europe, with future performances planned at London’s Royal Albert Hall and New York’s Radio City Music Hall.

Les Misérables continues to hold its status as one of the longest-running musicals globally, with Mackintosh’s original production maintaining a record-breaking run in London’s West End alongside various international productions.
