DJ Khaled's $10M Mansion Just Sold—Discover the Shocking Secrets Inside Before It's Too Late!

In an unexpected turn of events, Grammy-winning DJ Khaled's former waterfront mansion in South Florida has been sold for $10 million. This marks a significant drop from its original asking price of $16.39 million in 2024, just avoiding a foreclosure auction that was scheduled for March 30, according to reports from Gimme Shelter.

The seller of the property is Nahim Jorge Bonilla, a Canadian music producer and former bar owner from Montreal, who also once operated the now-closed celebrity hotspot, Mandrake Miami. Notable patrons of the bar included the likes of Bad Bunny and Olivia Culpo.

Previously owned by DJ Khaled, the luxurious residence is located in Aventura, a prime area situated between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. The home, known for its stunning curb appeal, features a Mediterranean-style design and is nestled within a gated community.

However, the property’s history took a darker turn when it was the site of a pre-dawn raid in October 2024, leading to Bonilla's dramatic arrest. The incident was captured on video, drawing significant media attention. Bonilla is currently incarcerated in Los Angeles, facing serious charges linked to a multi-billion-dollar international drug trafficking and murder ring associated with the notorious Sinaloa cartel. This cartel is allegedly operated by former Canadian Olympic snowboarder Ryan Wedding, who has been labeled by the FBI as a “modern-day iteration of Pablo Escobar.”

Bonilla faces multiple charges, including conspiracy to distribute controlled substances like cocaine and methamphetamine. He has pleaded not guilty, with a trial set for May. Wedding has also entered a not guilty plea on 17 felony counts, which include drug distribution and conspiracy to commit murder, with his trial slated to begin March 24.

The new owner of the Aventura villa is identified as a New York real estate developer and a fervent DJ Khaled fan. Interestingly, at the time of purchase, the property had around $9.3 million worth of debt. “He really liked the property because it was DJ Khaled’s house,” noted Douglas Elliman broker Daniel Kadoch, who represented the buyer.

DJ Khaled, who once entertained stars like Jay-Z and Beyoncé in this lavish estate, viewed the house as a "good luck charm," according to source reports. The residence is still adorned with Khaled’s custom furniture, awards, and even remnants of his extensive sneaker collection, which once occupied a dedicated 1,000-square-foot sneaker shrine in the home.

Among the extravagant features left behind are eye-catching chandeliers made of Swarovski crystals and 14-karat gold, with the listing broker Garry Malakhanian estimating their value at a staggering $1.2 million. “We had to pull teeth to get this deal done. The amount of stress!” Malakhanian remarked, explaining the challenges faced in negotiations while dealing with a client behind bars.

The property itself boasts 240 feet of waterfront, sitting on a .57-acre lot, with a total living space of 6,321 square feet. It includes five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. Originally listed at $11 million in 2022, the price was increased to $16.39 million in 2024 before being slashed to $10.9 million as foreclosure loomed.

Bonilla and his wife, Melissa Granda, purchased the home for $4.8 million in 2020, during which they co-founded the music label Ruido Callejero Music alongside their third partner, Canadian trader Simon Librati, whom they later bought out. The home features luxurious touches such as 30-foot-high vaulted ceilings, walnut and marble floors, and a chef’s kitchen. DJ Khaled invested approximately $2.5 million in renovations, which included creating a movie theater with a 128-inch TV and a stunning outdoor patio.

This sale not only highlights the luxury real estate market in Florida but also intertwines with the more unsettling aspects of crime and celebrity culture, reflecting the complex narratives that often accompany high-profile properties.
