City of Delta’s Community Grants Program is BACK! Here’s what YOU could lose if you miss out!

Applications are now open for the latest round of the City of Delta’s Community Grants Program, an initiative designed to bolster local projects that enhance the community's well-being. This program, which originated in 2024, allocates funding to support various programs and events that promote inclusivity, cultural understanding, and volunteerism among Delta residents.

For the year 2026, the city has earmarked $200,000 for the grants, which non-profit organizations and community groups can apply for. Eligible applicants—including those holding a British Columbia society number or Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) charitable registration—can seek funding up to $10,000 for projects that align with the program’s objectives. These projects should largely benefit the residents of Delta, aiming to address social and economic barriers within the community.

The deadline for applications for this intake is set for Wednesday, January 15, 2026. Successful applicants will be notified of their grant status in the spring. Detailed information about eligibility criteria, reporting requirements, and the application process can be found at delta.ca/communitygrants.

To assist applicants, the City of Delta is hosting an online information session on Monday, December 8, from 10 to 11 a.m. This session will provide insights into key deadlines, essential information about the program, and tips for crafting a standout application. Registration for this informative Zoom session is currently available at eventbrite.com.
