You Won't Believe Who Made the 2025 Section V Girls’ Soccer All-Tournament Teams—Shocking Snubs Inside!

Section V Girls’ Soccer has had a remarkable season, handing out eight sectional championships and recognizing individual talents with All-Tournament team honors. This year’s achievements highlight the growing competitiveness and skill in local high school soccer.
CLASS AAA
Leading the charge in Class AAA, Charly Sisson from Fairport made a significant impact, contributing a goal and an assist in the finals, helping her team secure its third consecutive title and ninth overall. Sisson wasn’t alone—teammates Eliana Biehler, Sofia Jorge, and Zainab Khalid also received All-Tournament selections. Biehler netted a goal in the finals, while Jorge assisted on a goal and Khalid anchored a defense that kept Fairport's opponents scoreless.
For Rush-Henrietta, Natalie Wood earned her third All-Tournament team selection after an impressive performance, recording 16 saves in the finals against Fairport. Teammates Gianna Lebron and Parker Hills also made the All-Tournament list, showcasing their standout contributions throughout the season.
Addison Zimmerman and Anaeliz Martin-Rosario represented RCSD United on the All-Tournament team, highlighting their vital roles in a competitive field.
CLASS AA
In Class AA, Ava Fedele and Shavonne Callahan led Churchville-Chili to a historic win, scoring two postseason goals each and marking the program's first sectional title since 2004 and its fourth overall. Callahan's crucial game-tying goal in the finals, assisted by Hailey Hotaling, was pivotal. Hotaling also converted a penalty kick to help the Saints advance to regionals, while Kayla Cervini played a key role in a defense that conceded only one goal in the tournament.
Emily Peacock from Spencerport shone brightly as well, securing her second All-Tournament team selection with five postseason goals. Teammate Liana Tata also earned her second bid, contributing significantly with a goal and an assist. Ryan Smith added to the team's success with a goal and two assists, and Blakely Thornton chipped in with a goal in the finals.
From Penfield, Lyla Schenck achieved her second All-Tournament selection, with Elinor Taddeo earning her first. The Esders sisters, Sophie and Leah, represented Webster Thomas, rounding out a competitive group.
CLASS A
Aquinas saw Sienna Fallone and Jaden Deming each score three postseason goals, helping the Li’l Irish capture their second title in three years and the 15th in program history. Fallone received her second All-Tournament team nomination, while Deming earned her first. Notably, Churchville-Chili’s Briar Hinds was recognized for her defensive prowess with 16 saves and only one goal allowed in the postseason.
Pittsford Sutherland's Kate Pinto and Elizabeth Riley each contributed a goal, earning All-Tournament team selections alongside their teammate Cecily Kaul. Lauren McLaren and Christina Stamoulacatos from Our Lady of Mercy were also honored, along with Batavia’s Ella Shamp and Adyson O’Donnell.
CLASS B1
Livonia’s Sunny Quinn excelled with four postseason goals, leading the Bulldogs to their first title since 2017, marking their 20th overall championship in the program's history. Quinn’s remarkable performance earned her a top spot on the Class B1 All-Tournament selections, while Reghan Maxwell added three goals and an assist, leading to nominations for her teammates Ella Bingham and Sophie Otis.
Haverling’s Riley Beaty joined the All-Tournament team for a second time, showcasing her talent with two goals in the sectional semifinals. Makayla Smith and Zoey Winfield also earned their spots, further highlighting the depth of talent in the tournament.
CLASS B2
Williamson's Lauren Schmeelk was instrumental in leading her team to back-to-back sectional titles, scoring a goal and providing an assist in the quarterfinals. Schmeelk’s standout performance earned her a third All-Tournament team selection, while teammate Katherine Kuhl recorded 27 saves in the postseason. Additional selections for Williamson included Sarah Niles and Jocelynn Carpenter.
Gananda/Marion’s Avery Hoffman earned her All-Tournament spot with nine saves and just one goal allowed in regulation. Her teammates Peyton DeLyser, Ella Maniaci, and Lexi Gallina also made their mark on the tournament.
CLASS C1
Holley’s Jayna Burris played a crucial role in capturing her team's second sectional title in three years, scoring a goal and providing an assist in the finals. She was joined on the All-Tournament team by teammates Hannah Ostrom, Brynn Thomas, and Mia Thom, who scored the game-winning goal in overtime against Canisteo-Greenwood.
Class C2 saw Mia Gray lead Byron-Bergen to its fifth consecutive sectional championship, netting four goals and assisting on two others. Gray’s fourth nomination to the All-Tournament team was complemented by teammate Elizabeth Starowitz, who made her third appearance, and Grace DiQuattro, who scored two goals and provided three assists during the postseason.
These sectional championships and individual honors not only reflect the talent present in Section V Girls’ Soccer but also set the stage for future competition. Each player and team has demonstrated resilience and skill, contributing to an exciting season that will be remembered for years to come.
