Currently serving as the Chief Operations Officer for Farmers Bank & Trust, a community-oriented financial institution based in Magnolia, Arkansas, Pieratt has been in this role since January 2016. He oversees the operational strategy and execution across the bank's markets, contributing to its reputation as one of the region’s most respected financial institutions. His professional background is robust, encompassing extensive experience in operations and strategic leadership.
Before his tenure at Farmers Bank & Trust, Pieratt worked with Ethyl Corporation (now known as Albemarle) from 1992 to 1998, taking on various IT roles in Magnolia and Pasadena, Texas. He then joined Air Products & Chemicals as Plant IT Manager and later ascended to the position of Chem Group IT Manager. In 2000, he returned to southwest Arkansas, contributing 15 years to Murphy Oil Corporation in various global IT leadership roles.
Pieratt boasts an impressive academic background, having attended Southern Arkansas University from 1988 to 1992, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. His deep commitment to SAU is evident through his active involvement with the institution, including a 12-year tenure on the SAU Foundation Board of Governors and prior membership on the Rankin College of Business Advisory Council. His contributions were recognized when he was named an Outstanding Young Alumni in 2010. Through these roles, Pieratt has come to understand the university's vital position in driving workforce development and economic growth in southern Arkansas.
Beyond his professional achievements, Pieratt has made significant contributions to the Magnolia community. He served for 18 years on the Magnolia Planning Commission, including a decade as chairman, helping to shape responsible development and strategic growth in the area. His dedication to community service is further exemplified through his leadership at Farmers Bank & Trust, where he has worked to expand opportunities for students, families, and businesses in the region.
Residing in Magnolia, Pieratt has been married to his wife, Angela Grafton Pieratt, for 34 years, and together, they have two children, Abby and Adam. In his personal life, he enjoys cattle farming, traveling, and outdoor sports.
