These individuals are significantly more likely to disregard healthcare provider advice in favor of insights from friends and family. To navigate this complex landscape, health communicators and institutions must consider a reset in their approach. The current focus on the "what"—the information coming from top-down sources—doesn't resonate with a public that is increasingly skeptical of global institutions and experts, especially post-COVID-19.
